| Tug Hercules |
Actual working model of the Hudson River Tug Hercules. Powered by a model steam engine. The model and engine where crafted by the father of Walter G. Garvey of Pittsburgh (who donated the model to the Museum). The hull is made of pine, the keel and stern of oak, the bumper guard of mahogany and hickory and the railing is of mahogany. Walter's brothers, Charles and Thomas built the display case.
