Sperry - MK-16A- Radar
A radar is one of the most important pieces of navigation equipment on a ship. It permits the vessel to safely operate in fog, storm or dark of night. It displays on its screen other ships, land or buoys by reflecting a radio signal off the target. This unit also has a collision avoidance system, which can be set to alert the ship's officers when another ship or land reaches a predetermined distance from their vessel.
